Power line tower and sunset, from about 3/4 mile.
Import to iPhoto, copy to Graphic Converter. Crop, Resize, Scale to 635 wide, Sharpen, Save to "pictures" file for uploading.
Lens: Meade 1,000mm cat reflector
I had to set up, shoot, run with the camera and tripod, set up, shoot and run 3 times before the sun reached this position, as the sun was moving from left to right almost as fast as it was going downward.
Thank you everyone who voted and/or commented on this image.
I cropped it this way to make it simple as possible, and to try and avoid the "rule of thirds" police.
Maybe I should have posted it as I shot it. I am happy with the score, as it was a sunset, and easy to shoot.
Here is the original, thanks to some timely help from glad2badad who posted the info about how to put the thumb here.

It's a wonderful shot. The hard work paid off, to catch it so perfectly is very difficult.I do like the way the tower and sun becomes one. Thanks.

I like it better centered, but I would still crop out the trees. In other words, this shot but with the sun centered. Beautiful at any rate!

Great subject!! I would crop this to have make it more centered in order to bring out the symmetry.

Should have been centered.

The sun is overpowering the picture. If you could have pulled back some and left the subject on the left 1/3 of the frame, I think it would come across more powerful.

This is great. What time of the day did you take this picture??? I would like to take something like this. Awesome...

Nice juxtaposition! Good job seeing this develop and getting in position to capture it. Most of the time people frown on centering a subject - you know, breaking the rules and all. In this case I think the presentation would be stronger with this centered. JMO of course. :) Good luck.
