 I'm not sure what type of flowers these are but they look like miniature Lilies. I tried different color backgrounds but none looked as good as the black. I used my Canon 50mm 1.8 lens with a 12mm extension tube. For lighting, I used a hot light with a small softbox.

nice composition (jasmine?) and nice use of buds...the soft focus on the blossom at the back is fine but I find the focus or lack of it on the stem distracting

Not very original, but a perfect image anyway. The composition, light and the exposure is just great. You captured all fine details, even in the white. Good DOF as well, sharpness is exactly where it needs to be.

How pretty and the DOF is very well done, I like the cropping, the composure of the shot and the black background works very well with this shot. A 10!

one of the more nicely composed flower shots. good arrangement of the elements in the frame. the white and green looks terrific against the black background.

I love the black that you chose a stark black background ... it accentuates the delicate character of the flowers. The white is pure, the petals soft, the clarity of the main flower subject is exceptional ... you can almost touch the petals and be dusted with pollen. Great job!

Technical: fita the challenge. Exposure composition focus lighting all very good.

Personal: Yay freesia- my favorite flower! They normally smell great, but to me the white ones always smell like pepper! A nice image- thanks for sharing!
