what a sharp picture... these are Japanese guys, right?...

Fine shot. The only thing that really bothers me about this shot is the boat's gunnels, it seems choppy (it might be from the reflection off the water?) A little more contrast for the upper ends of the fishing rods might have been nice, but that seems like I'm asking too much. 8 Swash

I think it needs a little more foreground, and a little less at teh top, but that is just me. Great capture (focus,etc.). karmat

very nice candid.. the composition is also excellent... The color saturation on this image seems to be slightly weak... I'm not sure if you can, but a polarizer would work well on this shot... good work :) = 7 - jmsetzler

Nicely done.

I like this photo for its peaceful, laid back feel and the color balance between the water and foliage. The fishermen are nicely placed within the frame with a good amount of water showing to emphasize the tension of waiting for a bite. I think I would like to see slightly more saturated greens and maybe blue also. Plus, maybe reposition the shot so that less of the trees show at the top of the frame and a little more of the foreground water where the fisherman on the right is casting. Aside from the little wishlist, it's a very well done photo.

Great color and great picture.

This meets the challenge and I like fishing so this automatically appeals to me. Makes me want to take my boat out again so I can get the same enjoyment. Nice shot with decent clarity.

I like the shot but even if I am not a systematic fan of the rule of third but I think the limit water/ground is a little too much in the middle even if the boat is at a 'rule of third' intersection. 5 (might move to 6 later)

I like the *idea*, and the general composition, but the subjects don't have enough "weight" in the shot for me. I feel like I need to be able to see their faces better, (though I realize that may not have been possible). lhall-7

Nicely done. I don't see this as crisp/sharp but it's good work and good composition. Score 6 Justine.
