I tried some building shots, and they are good abstracts, but nothing really had a vanishing point. On Saturday, Bev drove us to her jeweler in Jersey to have a ring cut off my finger...ouch...but it really had to go. It will be resized at a nominal cost, probably the original cost of the ring but I have to keep for sentimental reasons. I also bought a new watch....OUCH! But I like it a lot.

When we left the jewelers, the sky was doing a grand number. I love shooting pictures of the sky. I regret that I do not live where there are great vistas with no distractions but what are you going to do. I took three shots with the camera as soon as I got the trunk open. But I had the 70-300MM lens on the camera and at 70mm I only got a portion of the sky. I switched as quick as I could to the 18-70MM Nikon kit lens and got this and several others. I'm hoping you see a lot a rays disappear behind the clouds and that this works for the challenge subject.

Post: Convert from raw in PS Elements 3.0. My first processing ending up being quite noisy so I started all over again. No exposure compensation in the raw conversion. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness and contrast. Layer adjustment for hue/saturation converting to greyscale. Saved and closed in Elements and re-opened in PSP9. Clarify. Closed in PSP9 and re-opened in Elements. NeatImage. Sharpen. Crop. Resize. USM.

Great job with the rays. IMO it does not meet the challenge though. The rays are not parallel lines that are made to look like they are joining because of the perspective.
