Hi Frank and Happy New Year!
Thanks for your positive ponts about my shot... it's the way I saw it! But abstracts rarely do well when the average time spent on a photo is 3 secs. :-)

Hi Kos,
Where they got 4.9852 from I don't know. From a TECHNICAL stand point this photograph is about as good as it can get. The leading line takes you through the entire photograph from top to bottom, side to side. The eye follows this line with no distractions yet lets you see all the little details, the seeds, the motion in the water. It allows you to see the transition from the outer skin of the pepper to the fiberous pulp inside, and holds all it's detail. The use of DOF (upper left) allows for a very smooth transition allowing the viewer to see the rest of the pepper in silhouette without being distracted. The composition of the photograph (seeds) give the photo scale. The position of the pepper (angle) give it depth, and the motion in the water give it life. The over all composition (filling the frame) was very well done. The combination of lighting and the choice of b&W give this photograph an added touch of mystery and work extremely well here. If you are a begginer put this photograph in your favorites and study it. It is a fantastic learning tool !!. Well done Kos !!!.

Nice abstract. Beautiful lighting, values and composition. The black and white adds a nice element of mystery and mood. -9

I know this is a green pepper, and I find the photo interesting. I wonder why you choose black and white as your subject color? I had to take a look at it several times.... |

I love the curvature goes down from the left and up to the right corner. I find it hard to see it as a pepper, perhaps there isn't a lot of contrast to make a strong b&w. |
