I've always loved the wind blur effect but I haven't found a picture I could use it with. I need to come up with something before this 30 day thing is over.

I love this picture. You really did a wonderful job catching this kitty doing the wrong...

I loved this picture till I saw the title. The title grosses me out (reminds me of my dogs getting into the litter box). :)

Still a terrific picture. Great sense of motion and wonderful lighting.

Judy
this looks like static electricity coming off kitty's hair...did you rub him against the wall before you took the shot? :)

cool effect! imagine if you could get it behind a mouse with the kitty leering?? hmm...

Love the effect...I think it works great with the hi-lights and shadows.

Love the effect - not sure how you did it - share please? :D It looks like someone made a sketch of the scene in charcoal and then swiped their hand across the paper. Very intriguing image.

Interesting, quite appealing. Panning in post-processing. What makes this image so strange is that the cat is not moving. Normally in a panning from left to right, the subject would be going left to right, but the cat is still. Makes for a "HUH?!?!" type of reaction. The pose of the cat is fantastic.

excellent effect ... wonderful contrasts .. & except for the grass and a few stray bits of grey in the rest of the image, this is nearly totally black & white .. ie no shades of grey .. great look ... excellent composition and so well balanced ...

i love the streaks of light, very nice processing. the arch of his back really makes this composition so appealing.

It's the arch in the back isn't it - you can just read 'em!

I like the streaks of light - but what I really like is the way the cat's back is curved to mimic/fit the curve of the bush.

That is SO COOL! I love that motion, and the way the backlighting gives him a magical look. Who'd've thunk that Cat-Poo could be something so incredibly photogenic :)

Quite the artist you are young lady :)
