Challenge: Pi II (Basic Editing)
Camera: Pentax *ist DS
Lens: Pentax FA 50mm f/1.4 AF
Location: UK
Date: Apr 29, 2007
Aperture: 9.5
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/180
Galleries: Abstract, Science and Technology
Date Uploaded: May 1, 2007

Used a macro focussing teleconvertor in conjunction with the 50/1.4, so f9.5 is really f19, and F is really 100mm. Shot in RAW. All processing done exclusively in Rawshooter Premium. Main process was to create the negative (also in Rawshooter), by turning the response curve upside down.

Different but I'm not a fan of surreal and drastic manipulation in PS.

Nice photo. The crazy negative effect seems a bit drastic for a "basic editing challenge" but I guess it does fit the rules technically. Nice reflection.

This is a clever interpretation of the challenge and very reminiscent of the closing sequence of the movie. The problem I always have with color negative images is that they highlight every weird nuance of texture and I find that it detracts from the overall quality of the image. Still, this is very creative and well executed.
