Would prefer to see more detail in the mountains, but the high contrast you have set up here is very effective for making the clouds/reflections stand out.

unusual and very interesting photograph .. love the darkness of this and those excellent clouds the way they're duplicated in the water .. this is so intense ... great contrasts ...

I really enjoy the middle of this image, the focus is unreal, however, I feel the top and bottom pieces are really lacking for me and take away from the rest of the image. It may even just be the really dark area on the bottom half... but for me it just is not balanced very well.

Great shot. It's a bit dark but, it puts the focus on the clouds and the reflections on the water, I dig it. The sandy shoal on the right gives a nice breakup to the darkness of the flat water. Good work

no gradient work was done,
processing was all basic editing besides and little dodge and burn in clouds and top right corner
i was using a circular polariser filter

I am so JEALOUS that you get to take photos in New Zealand! New Zealand has been a fantasy place for me ever since my daughter-in-law (whose a professional photographer) showed me her photos from when she was an exchange student there!

This is beautiful. It does in fact look very Ansel Adams'ish. The darks and whites are contrasted so well.

I hope you have some more of New Zealand :) Not that Australia isn't beautiful too. . .lots more of these landscape and outdoorsy photos :)

I too really like the darker tones here. Great job with the b/w conversion. Nicely composed with great sky. The right side could use just a touch of dodging to bring out some more detail, other than that it looks great.

Great location, love the reflections of the fantastic sky. Vegetation feels a touch dark to me perhaps, but the overall tone works well.
