Max Biaggi, you either hate him or love him and he either hates you or loves you. Really good rider, socially not always a strong person.
Max is an oldtime favorite of mine, I have been following his career for more than 10 years now. I remember his time on a Rothmans Honda 250cc, the years that he became worldchampion 250cc with Aprillia and Honda, his first win in 500cc GP (also his first race in that class) and of course the big fights with Doohan and Rossi.
Because he pissed of too many people in MotoGP he had to take a year off in 2006 and is now active in World Superbikes. As I am writing this he is 2nd in the 2007 world championship.

All photos were shot during friday free and first qualifying practice at the Assen TT track. All are shot with the 70-200 f/2.8 VR in combination with a Kenko 1.4x extender. I would not have gotten that top pic without this combo. The Kenko performs really well and I can get two Kenko's for one Nikon. :)

When I shoot motorcycle racing I only use manual exposure. The balance of light towards the sensor of the metering changes so much all the time and is never right. With manual I can pretty much nail the exposure time and time again.

I'm truly impressed with the clarity of these shots. Awesome work. I never knew super-bikes carried the front wheel.

Very nice shots, I wonder whether these would have been stronger with greater saturation?

What a fantastic triptych, I am not a bit superbikes fan but even I can see the beauty in what you have created, I reckon any Biaggi fan would absolutely love this on their wall. Great colour, great capture, great colours, great composition. Hell let me just save some time and say GREAT
