I used two Cokin ND filters (8 and 2) stacked. I waited around for a long while for the light to hit the rocks just right, and it finally did! For post processing I first flipped the image horizontally for a better left to right feel; adjusted levels, sharpness, saturation, contrast, light, etc. to the entire shot and finally neat image to smooth everything out; my goal for the shot was to produce, in-camera, a softly painted-looking dreamy look and feel

Beautiful colors. I can't believe this didn't score better than it did.

Greetings fromthe Critique Club -

Well I think you easily created what you were looking fro from your description. This shot does have a cool painting like feel to it. You have cool color tones to it, the blacks and whites are very nice and the long shutter speed gave you a very nice effect. I need to get me some of them filters.

A couple things that may have improved it would be a lsight adjustment of the horizon. I probablywould have tried to make the very top rock line be parallel to the top border. And I also wonder what a slightly less amount of Neat Image woudl have done. It might be just a bit much overall. But bothof these issues are small.

You have a pleasing image here overall. And the voters showed that with a 6+ score ina FS - which is nothing to sneeze at. What it is missing to garner the higher scores is some sort of WOW factor that DPCers tend to crave. A nice image none the less. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing your future entries.
