I happen to notice this old shed while taking a walk at Penn State Altoona. I have walked this path lots of times and never noticed the shed but with the fresh snow it seemed to catch my attention.

Greetings from the Critique Club!

This shot did fairly well, and I can see why. Black and White was a good choice for this, as it really brought out the simplicity. Perhaps the contrast/lighting made the image a little flat, keeping it from reaching the "6" mark.

I think the composition is perfect. I like how you have the trees in the front like that.

Congratulations on a great shot!

Steve

I love pictures like this. Giving it a 9, 10 if the black and white was a bit 'richer'. Deeper black...know what I mean?

simplicity of living vs simplicity of composition? :)

Very "comfy" shot. Makes me feel like curling up in front of a fire with a mug of hot chocolate. The picture seems to be just a bit faded, but It may just be the morning snowy haze, I can't tell. Would be better if it was a bit crisper. Still, a good shot.

what a peaceful, simple shot. the lack of colour and the scene itself give a sense of emptiness; absolutely simplicity.

very nice, you might have shot more to the right of the left to either include more to the right of the far right tree or to crop in on it to lose the right edge which is about the only thing that distracts me in this otherwise tranquil scene. Nice exposure, detail, clarity. but maybr too much unsharp mask (if it was used if not, sorry) It would have look nicer left alone or softened by a little gausian blur.
