Taken with a 1sec shutter speed on a tripod. I take a lot of swan images and wanted to show the contrast between the chaotic movement and total calm that they are equally capable of. I was lucky enough that the central swan stayed still for that long while his companions preened themselves! In the end, this was only one of a couple of 100 or so images I took that came out right. I'll upload some of the outtakes to show what I was up against if people say they'd like to see them.

Nice photo. I like the movement and reflection on the water. The whites of the swans are a little blownup, there's not much detail in them. 6

Initially looked and hated the blurred swans heads .... then saw the title and the third swan. Love it, very nicely done indeed.

Okay, the border first, like it but might have been better with a line white line to match all the colours. Other than that, the shot is great & quite beautiful!

Technical: Most all images submitted fit the challenge. Exposure composition focus lighting all good.

Personal: Nice. Really makes the center bird stand out. The border is a bit overbearing for my taste.

I like it - but I think there could have been a better crop. I'm also not completly sold on the slow shutter speed - but it works for me.
