 One of my more useless, but fun pictures. Was inspired by a shot in an old Pop. Photography and Imaging magazine.

Basically a macro of straws, looking down on them. Cropped, resized, brightened a touch, neatimage, USM, submit.

Just for the record -- I did think about cloning out the dust/string thingys, but to be honest, I kinda liked them. Gave the pic "realness" if you will. :-)

On my top 5-- good chance for a ribbon-- good color and light-- suprised you choose not to "clone out" the strands-- given the rules change-- 10

I think I would have cloned out the little fuzzies on the ends of these straws or tubes. It is allowed and would have put this image over the top for me.

very effective ... love the colors. Only comment is that since your could have edited them out legally, you might have removed the "dust" in the middle ones. Nonetheless, a well deserved 10. Jacko. My kind of shot.

Let me guess... uhhhh.... square? I like this but the plastic shavings on the ends of the middle straws are a bit annoying.

Why cut off the top? Having the green tubes surrounding the red and purple would have made for a much better composition.
