 This is indeed a real scene. The oak trees are as you see them, they are not placed into position via editing.

The shot is made up of two exposures.

The 1st was taken early in the morning before a rain storm. (Red sky at dawn...storm coming on. I usually try to get out and shoot the sunrise before a storm). I under exposed the shot and adjusted the camera settings to radically bring out the colors...(I actually had to tone the color down some). It made an interesting silhouette with the black trees against the orange sky.

The 2nd shot was taken from the same location in the late afternoon of the following day, after the storm. I simply used the afternoon shot to fill in the details in what was a silhouette.

Great landscape!!! Love the tones too. Curious as to whether there are really these trees in a field somewhere or if this is a composite of images. Either way - well done!

THere have been other pictures where I've said they they are too edited making them look unrealistic. This is an example where more editing looks GREAT and real. Nice job!

The light and color in this photograph is very surreal and ethereal, quite unusual. Is this perhaps a long exposure night shot? Beautifully photographed!
