I have a thing for walls, windows, doors, vines...

Editing suggestions welcome.

In reference to Tim's comment, no this isn't cropped at all. The editing steps are as follows:
Open jpeg version.
Duplicate layer, soft light blending mode, opacity reduced to 45%.
Flatten layers, smart sharpen at 45% 0.9 pixel radius, resize, add borders (which I agree, are kinda funky colored).
That be it!

yeah i reckon you do have a 'thing' for windows etc ... and a delightful thing too!!!!!! .... coz this is just excellent ... love how you've composed your shot ... and the sunlight on the window and the vines sort'v in shadow ..... gosh, this image keeps getting better each time i scroll up to see more while i'm commenting ... totally love the shadow of the window slats/wotever on the wall behind the vine .. its like another beautiful image within this image .. sort'v like another window created by the wooden trestle holding up the vine, with the vine and shadow above ... beautiful .....

This is a pure Melethia shot. Simple but well thought out composition. You have a great eye for natural lines and patterns found in the everyday world. I wouldnt do anythign to the editing. Nice colors, cool shadows, perfect crop (did you crop at all?). I am not sure if I am digging the inner border color or the off whiteness to the rest of the border, but I only mention it since you asked for editing tips. It is a minor point at best and probably just my personal taste.

Beaaaaaaaaaaautifull!!!!!!!! Love the composition and the way the lighting seems perfectly suited to interact with all the other elements in the shot. The shadows seem like elements of their own, which is really neat to see. Only thing I might suggest is to remove the things in the window.. my eye keeps going there to see what it is. Other than that this is perfect. I'd probably give this a 10 in a free study.
