I suspect that this will do very badly, but I just had to try this. I was going for this almost dizzying effect to really emphasize speed and motion.

The main challenge was getting the right amount of blur without while not going at a suicidal speed. Lucky this bit of street was shaded by some trees, so that helped to get the shutter speed down, as it was otherwise a bright, cloudless day.

Post processing:
RAW conversion.
Levels to set black and white point.
Curves to punch up the contrast.
Resize to 640 pixels across.
Smart Sharpen.
Border.
Save for web.

Great photo. I can feel the motion. (I'm a cyclist). I would have liked it even better with hands in the picture. I think I'll try this shot myself with the camera against my chest and the self timer. I gave it a 9.
