Chains - big heavy chains on the brick patio behind my house. I found them kind of boring, so I decided to put them in the shape of a heart, and make an editorial comment. Shady, overcast day. Used a mini tripod and shot in macro, to capture the textures and colors of these heavy, rusty chains.
Rotated slightly to straighten image. cropped. adjusted brightness and contrast, and because I still found it all kind of dull, tried "negative". I liked the blue and white, glowing effect - almost other-worldly, and decided to go with it. I have a feeling it will not be well-received, but it is what it is. Just for fun- and because I'd rather have an entry than not.

Hello Max,
When I first looked at the image I didn't know what to think. In fact it took a few views. This alone is worth it's weight in gold the image held my attention for quite a while. The compostion is well done, the heart and then the hook on top. The color scheme (blue) works well here. The heart symbolizing the up side aspect, The color with hook symbolizing the down side. The only thing here that is a distraction is the brightness of the light. With that being said It works here again because of the heart, the light being the warmth of the heart. Well done max.

Interesting concept of creative mind, I´m not sure though about the blue color. Heart and red would possibly fit better. 8.

Interesting! It seems to me that very few photos work well as a negative. This is one of them. I like the way it makes the chain look as though it is lit from the inside. The blue tones are nice as well.

Great concept but I'm not a big fan of the "invert" effect used. A red chain would have been great. I give you 7.
