Cold and wet morning. Cardinal waiting his turn at the bird feeder. He looked like he was having second thoughts about over-wintering. Soft focus was a result of the gray morning light and 2X doubler. SHQ.

The bird seems to be screaming out to be nice and sharp. It seems more out of focus than soft focus, but that could be because of the subject. The red is very vibrant, though, and the composition is good.

the branches are too crowded in the picture.. if you could've gotten a better angle.. plus its just me, but i don't like soft focus wildlife shots;)

I miss having Cardinals. They are so beautiful to see. Don't have them here in Oregon. Just love them.
