 Harpers Ferry, WV at the Dry Goods store.

1. Climbed over counter
2. Placed Nextel Phone on counter next to soap
3. Convert to B&W using Channels and hue/sat adjustment layers
4. A bit of smart blur and guassian blur for a bit of a soft dreamy effect (but not too much)
5. Curves adjustment layer for added contrast
6. resize and sharpen for display online.

Very subtle I like that...but the shelves look a little cluttered. Maybe if the arrangement of items was different...?

Nice composition and lighting. Would like to see a bit more contrast. The phone works for anachronism but really it's not a very interesting addition to the photograph. Seems thrown in. This would have made more sense for me if one of the shelves was maybe stocked with a modern day grocery item, something obscenely out of place (like cheese wiz or lunchables or something).

Good idea, and technically this is a very well done photo. However, I wish that the phone had been more prominent somehow. Had to search for a second before I caught it. Perhaps a couple of retail boxes of phones or other electronics would have made the point more clearly and obviously. - 6
