 Unfortunately I didn't record my steps for editing this, and working from memory is dubious, but...
Using Raw Image
Open in Raw and adjust for temp,exposure, shadow, brightness, and contrast,
Open copy as psd file
Levels
Shadow/Highlights
Select background using Color Range> Gausian Blur
Sharpen tool on flower pedals
Resize
USM
Save for Web

it was a stunning photograph to start with roger .. and your edit is just right ... the colours on the flowers seem to look a lot 'cleaner' ...
