An image and title rife with double-entendres ...

I think it would be difficult to make a gun look soft.....but, you did!

I'm not quite sure exactly what concept you were after here. The soft focus works pretty well with the low contrast. I guess the idea might have been using traditional means of a romantic or "beautiful" shot (i.e. the flowing white background) in contrast with the subject of a handgun, but all in all this shot leaves me cold. It's maybe a little too straightforward and consequently not especially interesing to me. Nicely executed though. 7

Not a great subject for soft focus... if there is soft focus here, it's a bit weak also.

The thrill is when it's off and kicking.

I admit, a gun is not the first thing I think of for a "soft focus" challenge. :) I don't think it is soft focused either, but it is a super shot and should score well. Those pesky "purists" might disagree. Dang them!

Doesn't look to be soft focus to me?

Hmmm. So was this put in the wrong challenge? Don't get it?
