freaky image - i don't like big spiders much ! well put together though.
if that spider is around 2" in diameter - one of them bit me this past summer causing a rather large welt on my arm. it came out of an electric pump i was working on. i must have bumped against him and when i moved my arm he was ready to attack again. bowever, i didn't kill it, but let it go outsidce instead. rabid wolf spider i believe was the species.
