No ribbon hopes here- just tossing a shot in for the team. I totally botched the camera settings (I was rushing and still had it set for astrophotography), but RAW + Noise Ninja saved my butt. FWIW, the t-shirts and background were actually red, not color shifted. My son didn't want to be painted like a clown, but once he had the makeup on he certainly played the part. ;-)
Processing: Convert from RAW (with a serious negative exposure bias), Noise Ninja, crop, USM, Channel Mixer for saturation, slight Photo Filter to warm skin tones, HSL (slightly darker, more saturated red channel), resize & light USM. |

| Great Children's Portrait that easily identifies a typical birth order: Serious oldest child, mediator middle (who moves easily in & out of serious & funny), and "Life-of-the-Party" youngest in the family...Albeit, I'll still bet the eldest had to use a great deal of self-discipline not to "crack a smile" in this apparently set-up shot! Bottom Line: Great Job! This is a real Keeper! :) |
