The further one stands away from this image the better it becomes. But my arms are having trouble reaching across the room to type this... |

Holy cow. Very nice reminder that film still is king, despite what we're being sold. From this I don't get contemplation - I get frustration bordering on desperation. Fine, fine use of light. |

beautiful use of soft focus. I knew there was something special about it, and then I read that it was film. It really looks it. It looks gritty and analog and real (even though it's all scanned into a computer now). he looks tired and strong at the same time. I like how there's a general sense of "construction", of building something, but no real specific information as to what or how. and lots of great diagonals! wonderful, wonderful use of light and shadow. |

This is an incredible image, very powerful in a subtle way. Good choice on using black and white. |
