 The end result of hours spent trying to shoot snowflakes with my Sigma 105 and an extension tube. Unfortunately, it was so warm that very few flakes landed on the glass intact. This was the only time I got more than two together in the frame. ;-)

Nothing fancy... just caught some snowflakes on a piece of glass and shot with a monolight and blue paper underneath.

This image is very simple, but I think that the snow flakes against the blue background contrast very nicely!

I love the lower right ice crystal. Because the two in the upper left are not of the same 'quality' as this my personal feeling is they distract from the overall impact. The spotting especially in the lower left and upper right is a bit of a shame. Fantastic photo though.
