I thought that was now the option of the reviewer, but I see you can't help being helpful ...
Definitely looks like it would be a trial to walk in those. This has been reminding me of an bad old take-off on the saying:
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you'll be a mile away, and you'll have their shoes. |

We no longer offer critique when there is no exposure information or photographer comments provided.
However, I could mention a couple things here... The crop seems just a bit tight and the angle could be stronger with a bit of a diagonal composition. The seem is also visible in your background. This can be worked around by using flexible posterboard or white paper to create a smooth bend rather than a crease...

I have thought about this photo for a couple of days. I like the concept, just not keen about the delivery. I feel a literalism photo should shout the literalism at you, without needing a title for support.
With this title, I would have preferred to have seen something along the lines of a small child in daddy's shoes or something more illustrative of the title, theme, or idea you are trying to portray.
The photo is not a bad one, it just seems cold, and unrelated to the challenge and loosely related to your title.

| Nice shot...but to me a picture of a shoe alone does not represent the saying walk a mile in my shoes, perhaps if the shoe were on a road or something to represent the rest of the phrase...JMO |

nice shoes ;) and nice submission
I think more cropped off the bottom to equal the top crop would benefit this photo

| There are so many things you could have done with this lietralism that just having a photo of your shoe doesn't quite make it for me. Maybe a picture of the shoe on the person (just the leg part maybe) walking down a road would have been better. The literalism says "walking a mile" and this does not portray that although it is a very decent picture of the shoe. |

| I think using black and white has helped bring out the textures of the shoe. It's an unusual-looking shoe so I think that helps with bringing interest into the shot. The dark edges on either side are a little unfortunate. |
