Simple Macro type shot, actually quite boring and doesn't stir me.
Limited time, limited shooting.
Composition isn't that strong. Pretty severe crop on this one. Not much post and little WB adjustment and some sharpness added. Guessing around a 5.4. It does not deserve higher than a 5.5 though, really it is a stupid boring shot.

A solid entry with nice crisp lines and background. I agree it doesn't stir me, however. I imagine if the whole DOF from pistil to petals was in focus it would be a bit more intriguing, or maybe some work on lighting. Nothing wrong with this entry, though - just not your best work.
Jason, great closeup. nice colors and background. The only thing that I would have changed would be to get the very center peice of the flower in focus. I don't know the names of my flower parts very well but you know what I mean. Otherwise, nice job.
