A leftover prop from my purchase for the fruits/veggie challenge. I had considered doing a shot like this for that challenge but thought I could actually get some DNMC comments as this technically isnt a vegetable. Straightforward shot taken on top of our black velvet. Levels, saturation, selective color, USM and NI before resizing and border. I dont expect a monster score on this but hopefully above 6. I think its clean, sharp and has a pleasing composition to it. We shall see.

Mycology is the study of mushrooms in the realm of biology. So this should pass that muster. While looking up the classification for th eportobello mushroom I discovered that it is the same classification as the button mushroom. Same fungus just different end product because of how it is allowed to grow. Very interesting.

I think bisporus would be the species and A is just the abbreviation for the genus? In any case the photo is very well done. I love all the detail, and the composition is very nice.
