Hey Todd. Nice shot. I'm seeing that you have your F-Stop at 4 and shutter at 4000. This type of wide angled image suffers quickly from low depth of field causing it to look out of focus. At the top end of your zoom, you want to be shooting no slower than 1/600, so try to balance out the speed by stopping down your lens. This will give you a much longer focal range and make that plane and all the other items in the scene crispy!
Try an F10 or F11 under similar conditions with a speed anywhere from 1/800 to 1/1200. |

was reading your comment and looking for the bird!! .. and then read a bit further and realised you were referring to the mechanical one .. dohhhhhhhh .. and yes its certainly a big one .. and hey .. beautiful cloud formation as well ... just imagining wot i could do with those in photoshop!! ... i cant look at a photograph without thinking of improvements these days .. |

Yummy clouds.
I'm thinking you need to use a tripod to ensure a sharper photo - that way you can reduce your ISO to 100. |
