went for a walk and took pics of katee on firetrail .. when i came home matt was washing my car ... matt is my daughter's boyfriend ..

this is a photograph of my home ..
you may be able to see how dry everything is, and that's why a lot of my shots are close-ups .. its very difficult to make something that looks dry and unattractive look 'nice' ... hopefully i'll learn some new methods of doing just that in the next 30 days!!!!!

oo, matt knows how to get in the good books, doesn't he? nice shot, and i like the text - very postcard-ish.

this is good example of how to take a snapshot that doesn't look like it's just another snapshot. Good composition, quality exposure. Nice finishing the addition of text really helps it as well.

My daughter's only 20 months, but I hope when she has a boyfriend, he's helpful like Matt -- though I've told my wife our daughter isn't allowed to date until she's 30 ;)

As for making pics look nice, that's not always necessary; do you like your surroundings? Try to convey why to us, even if it's not "nice" in some traditional/narrow notion (though I won't encourage you to submit such shots to challenges, as that sort of thinking seems to be punished here).

Put some pressure on the daughter to keep a boyfriend like that. Anyone who helps wash cars should stay around!! I like the journaling you put on this shot. Nice.

I'm jealous! Shorts and warm weather! We are freezing in the low 20's here so this helps warm me up a bit!

I think this looks VERY nice! I love those huge enormous trees! And again, I'm amazed at how much Australia looks like Texas. At first when I saw the shorts and the summery look, I thought, "Only in Texas could we be wearing shorts in the sun in February", but it's so cool to think its really summer where you are. And actually, even Texas this winter has been very cold and wintery (which is such a treat!!)

Matt sure is a nice boyfriend!! Let's keep him :)

I think the plan is that we start using beer or other forms of plentiful liquids to do our daily chores - GRIN!

It's VERY weird here watching the daily catchment levels on the news - you know it's stuff I NEVER wanted to worry about!

At least I don't have to buy it yet I suppose - but we really should be thinking about getting a tank - which would be useless unless it rains - GRIN!

I'm just finding out how difficult tank water is. Been to Picton a few times and found it a lovely place.

we dont have water restrictions as such coz we're on tank water ... the restrictios we do have are that my tank is now 1/4 full and we've gotta buy water ... i've heard that its still cheaper than being on town water tho .....

Such an Australian scene - don't you guys have water restrictions up there? We're in stage 3 here in Melbourne - can't brush our teeth let alone our car - GRIN!
