 Getting close to the end! Of the challenge that is. I thought of this while sitting at my desk, thinking, aaaggh, what on earth am I gonna do! I was leaning like this looking out of the window, the camera was in front of me on the desk. I turned it around pointed it at myself and snapped the shot! One go!

hahaha! I wish! Not quite, it's all true up to the point and shoot bit. Well, I did that too, to see what it would look like, then set up properly and took five thousand shots to get it right. :D

Usual lighting. It's all I have! :)

A truly great portrait. So many elements in it to make it work, the self-encompassing arm, large eyes, grain and tones, etc. Nicely done. Going to favorites.

You sound like me with the snapshot then the 500 shots set up to get it right... I was out in the snow for 45 min yesterday shooting that snow shot LOL AND, no, those were not socks, they were my house shoes :) I love the way you make use of natural light. I only hope I can get as good! The contrasty light and dark really make this picture.

:) your lighting is always perfect! I will never complain about mine becasue I have the same:) and since you can do wonders with it probably I can do it, too?
very very cool portrait, very "masculine", the grain and contrast work perfectly, and your expressions are always exceptional! great pose of course. you look like Michael Stipe here:) (it was a great compliment!:)
