 This was a couple of days ago from my balcony, which faces North Mountain. Every night there's a breath-taking sunset.

Yep. Cropped version works better. Either way, this is a good shot. You did a great job getting the color just right, and the little bitty plane gives a good sense of scale.

Took your advice and cropped out a bunch of sky - what do you think (if you happen to see it again)? It's definitely more balanced. Thanks for the input!

Nice shot, great colors, and definitely makes me jealous, too; my sunsets are always broken up by high tension power lines in my southeastern view.

I think I would have cloned out the plane; it's a neat conversation piece, but it doesn't do much for me in the picture itself, which is really nicely composed and shot.
