The focus on this image seems to be soft throughout. Perhaps touching it up with USM would have helped some. The single, bare branch just above the barn distracted from the peaceful blend of FG to BG that was brought about by the rust colored leaves and dark tree trunk giving way to the muted colors of both the barn and the ridgeline/mills in the BG.

This is a good idea and the framing is well done with the leaves and tree but the size and lack of clarity in any part of the shot really hurts this. DOF doesn't work i in this becaus no one part of the shot is in focus. The coloring is close to perfect and the cropping is very well done. A 5

I like the photo very much but it doesn't seem like a sacred place to me.

This photo drums up images of youth spent on a farm and a longing for the simple life.

I like how you framed the barn with the trees and branchs, although I feel the branch on top dips a bit too close to the barn and becomes almost a distraction.

The image seems a bit small and somewhat pixelated.

It looks like the barn is pretty dark compared to the rest of the image...and the barn is the subject, right? I can see by the patches of light on the ground, that there were breaks in the clouds. In this instance you may have been better off waiting for a hole in the cloud to shed a bit of light on the barn...this would emphasize the subject (barn).

I hope this helps,
Quadrajet

I was recently involved with a Barn project for the Smithsonian, and we often posited that barns were a sacred icon of our heritage! So nice work! The haze and colors work well to support your theme, too.

I really like the composition and colors in this, but I feel it suffers from not having something in good focus. Either the leaves in the foreground or the barn in the distance needs to be in focus to give this shot "punch" I think.

The way the light is for this shot, it seems that everything but the barn is highlighted, from the bright foreground to the bright background. You have a good idea, but you'd need to wait until the light changed - the dark twig through the frame doesn't help much either

Had this photo been larger and with everything in focus with the saturation pushed up to bring out the greens and reds more, it wold have done a lot better. The natural framing using the tree and branches adds to the composition, although that one branch hanging down from the top right is distracting.

Very nice photo. Good composition and nice coloring. Like the softening effect. My only criticism is the background seems a little noisy.

If the barn was your main subject, focus should have been on the barn, not the trees in front of the camera.
Good composition, I like the lighting, and the colors are phenominal.
I just wished the focus was one the barn... 5 ( I would have given you a 9 or 10 )

nice colors and composition looking thru the trees. Wish it were sharper, and wish that bare branch weren't in the way. It is an idealic scene.

Nice outdoors shot, but the twig is distracting, and you could use a bit more dop emphasis on the barn with less on the foreground.

may have been probably better with focus made on the house

your title reverts me to the barn yet it is the barn which is not on focus. Nice Autumn colours here and a great crop - perhaps you intended it this way and im being old fashioned but... ( Because its a different approach to "Sacred" that no one else has done ) Good effort - 6

Nice scenery, seems a bit unsharp though, especially the barn, which as I see it is the focal point. Also, the foreground framing would work better without that one bare branch that goes through the middle of the photo. Lasly, I'm not too sure why it's sacred, it might have helped to say something in the title.
