 While I will never be mistaken as a model, hopefully this self portrait won't fare as poorly as my other ones.

Setup: I set myself up on a bit sheet of black foam-cloth, and had the camera on a tripod with a 10 second delay on the shutter. The only light was from the flash, and I had a silver reflector to the left of the image.

Processing in Photoshop: crop, levels (to darken the image a bit), desaturation, and some spot cloning to remove a half dozen reflective specks in the negative space above me.

This is one of the best and most accurate emotive images in the challenge. I actually feel that he feels isolated. The lighting is wonderful. Good Luck

Very nice image, but it seems to lack a little in contrast. Yours is not the first image I've noticed that in, so maybe it's just my crappy monitor.

There is something quite moving about this image and I cant quite place my finger on it. I really like it, the position of the model in the frame is excellent and everything about the pose looks comfortable apart from the hand across the face. This may have been a little better had the hand seemed a little more relaxed but still in the same position? Great detail and nice lighting :o)

Composition is pretty good. Image is a bit boring probably as there are quite a few similar images. Lighting is terrible. Get your flash off your camera. Either bounce it off something or get a master slave setup, but flash straight on is bad bad bad.
