 As soon as I saw this challenge I knew what I wanted to get. Especially with how much I knew it would fill the frame. I saw this done in one of my photography books, and wanted to do it, but couldn't because of the editing involved. Expert editing allowed me to get what I wanted out of my shot. Saw this tree and new it was the one I needed. Hope people like this as much as I had fun working on it. Shot with a tripod, on a windy day. Thick branches stayed still. Small branches moved a lot in the pic. Next used slight radial blur to get the rest of the blur I wanted for the shot. Appreciate any constructive critisism anyone has to offer.

Adjustments:
Raw Conversion
Saturated color
USM, Hue/Saturation.
Dodge/Burn on main trunk.
Radial Blur Layer
Adjustment layer to bring out sharpness of tree.
Sharpened again.
Coverted to B&W
Hue/Saturate again with color.
Added Border and saved for web.

I think there must have been a strobe involved, and I like the effect. Little harsh on the contrast, though.

Now if this is done with a fixed camera on a tripod and the "action" is for real - I'm quite impressed. Clever idea and well executed. If this is all photoshop I'll be quite bummed. Good luck in the challenge.

Not completely filling the frame. The effect would have worked better for me if it wasn't that drastic. I like the angle of this shot.
