I'm surprised that this didn't score higher. This was one of my 10's. I really love this shot. Great work. :) ~Magen |

I originally wasn't excited by this but the more I look, the contrast between boat and bird as well as the motion really zing it |

Nothing is quite in focus so it takes a moment to realise that pelican is there. |

The OOF boats are so over-powering, I hardley noticed the bird.. |

The pelican is beautiful, but the ships do not indicate motion to me. |

i think this is a bit too subtle to score well--hope i'm wrong. i imagine this was probably not the easiest shot to get. it works for me, though. |

looks as though the shutter speed was just a tad to fast to get a real sence of motion, nice shot though, if the bird were a little closer it would have helped |

the shot is great.. I just think that the background is more interesting and clear (not blurred) enough to impart a sense of speed... perhaps a longer exposure would have made the shot.. |

when I looked at the photograph for the first time, I attention went on to the boat and not on the bird, i guess the boat is making this shot nervous!!! |

this could have been an awesome pic. I'm not sure if it's because i have to scroll down to see the actual focus of the photo or if it's just not framed right. I think you did what you asked to....so 8 it is |

i think this is a perfect example of panning but the subject is too small. the bird seems to almost blend in and leaves you looking at mostly a blurred image. |

Odd positiong of the bird; under-exposed shot. Nevertheless, a commendable effort. |

I think the inclussion of too much of the boats is gonna hurt your score. Seems like the main subject is too small. |

Sorry..not really seeing a panning effect. The background is out of focus but it is not showing motion. |
