I had fun making this photo, I laughed all the way through.
I'm glad some of you enjoyed it.

This photo surely fits the challenge :) The title is appropriate to say the least. I think the short DOF might have hurt you a bit, especially as it applies to the bottom right corner and the sharpness of the hotdog on the left side. I think the focus might have been on the back of the shoe and not the heel/hotdog as well. The back of the shoe is tack sharp whereas the action point where the heel meets the hotdog is a tad soft (though it could be my monitor). The transition from the hotdog to the shoe on the right side is halo'd and the colors were affected adversely by sharpening if I'm guessing correctly. I think the composition was quite nice.

Love the concept and for the most part you pulled it off, but the color of the "hotdog" is much to saturated for my tastes. I would have left it the original color. 8

Is the hot dog supposed to be a penis? Maybe it is just too literal for me, but this image isn't working for me...

I saw the almost exact same photo on the internet (well, this is the internet, too... I mean not on DPC). The idea is fabulous. :o)

HAHA gatta love symbolism. My main quarrel is the editing on the right side of the hotdog. That aside i like the focus, choice of DoF, and overall composition.

Challenge Concept: Unique - Translates well humorously.
Image Quality: Better than many. Overuse of sharpen leaving halos.
Subject does not capture my interest well.

what a funny shot:) ah, is it f1.4 you used here? it looks like this to me. I really like the effect, only some parts of the shoe in focus and the rest is blurred. the photo suggests a lot, but I like the form of a metaphor. I also like the composition and the colors:) the colors are great.
