Lighthouse
by The Hush Sound

"there is a girl who haunts that lighthouse
she saved me, i was swimming
so young i almost drowned
under the water she sang a story
of losing her lover
she calls a warning

her lover was a sailor
she went and she waited there
the door locked from the outside
lover never arrived so she sings there
soft as a siren luring the ships off their course, how alarming

we went in, we climbed up and looked out
the door locked from the outside
three ghosts in a lighthouse"

-------
these self portraits involving h2o sure are tricky. yet i keep goin' back to em. maybe i should get a life... :) nahhhhh!

anyways... just had the camera on the tripod with the self timer and went in and out of the pool a bajillion times to pull the trigger. :) the lighting is from the underwater built in pool light.

You have a most creative mind and a very fresh outlook on life Shannon.
You certainly walk to your own beat, and applaud you for it - it's refreshing!

Excellent! So where was the camera? On the roof? Like I said before, there's nothing like living in southern California! Which reminds me...on New Year's Eve, after the countdown, I turned around and there were a bunch of party-goers jumping into my pool. ;-)

This is gorgeous! I love the lack of colour with the bit of green in the middle. All three photos work so well together!

Definitely would like to know how you did this. And I'm still bitter about your weather! And you go and rub it in by going swimming? Nice! It's still -30 or so here. But at least it's sunny.

Being a fan of indefinable imagery, I really dig the rippled you. Nicely done. (I liked the other one too with the strong green and tan gradient.)

Sweet! How did you shoot it, did you have a friend clicking the shutter? Only In San Diego would someone be swimming in the dead of winter! I like the the middle the best.
