I love that I don't just have a single subject to focus on here, the scene is the subject. Had you cropped out the boys it would have just been a photograph of some girls posing for the camera, but as it is it tells a life story.

| great capture. a little too much processing detracts from the sense of realism, but still a 7. you know what, I'm not sure there IS a lot of processing on this, just some strange light and shadow. bump to 8 |

| Powerful context, but really what makes this for me is the faces of the girls. the defiant leader/older sister, the following protectee, the adventurous, quirky and indomitable, as well as the questioning, guarded and distrustful girl on the left staring you down. 10 |

| I find it quite hard to keep my attention where one would think it should be: there's a leading lines element that draws the eye to the two boys, and the colours they're wearing stand out from their background more than the group of four girls are the obvious subject. Also, I think that's because the boys are actually doing something - and that is intriguing, suggests a narrative, a story, whereas the girls are simply standing still for the camera - or appear to be. |

Third-World-A-Licious.
Nicely taken shot but I wish I was drawing more from the subjects. We only seem to be connecting with the two girls in the center. All the elements are there but not much is coming through outside of the usual stuff that always sparks us with these images. This will do quite well in the voting. Good Luck. |

| I particularly like how you've gotten down low here - the girls seem tall and confident - this is their territory. Great colors, wonderful facial expressions. Good composition in what could have been too busy a shot - having the girls all to one side and choosing that low angle focuses the viewers eye while also giving a good perspective on the surroundings. 9 |

| when I assign a very high rating at image as this I often ask me why. the location, the subject,the scene and the street photography (I think that is the queen in photography). perhaps I see the girls without the shoes and this is the most important reason for the high rating i.e. is that there are peoples that lives or goes in country where there aren't shoes for all the peoples. 10 |

what I get out of this image is that no matter what country, society or financial status you live in boys will be boys and girls.... well just ask them
