I would play with her beautiful eyes and hair on this picture. The "studio" was simple, I used bounced flash lighting at may appartment's hall. In order to get this effect I shooted her hair with no-horizontal angle and afterward rotated the canvas in PS.
After the complicated desaturation I used diffuse glow filter.
I cropped it into "landscape" form in order to catch the visitor's attention and highlight the eyes and the hair.
I hope these steps are allowed in AE.

After the challenge:

Thanks for the comments. My intention was to send something different to this challenge. As I expected I have received many different comments and wide range of points (1 to 10). I found it natural – the grainy portrait cropped into a special format cannot be nice for everybody – it is a matter of taste of portraying.

Finally, I would assure everybody – she has very beautiful forehead and chin!
Thanks again!

Different and creative cropping ... Focus a tad TOO soft on this IMO ... 6

I like the graniness, don't care much for the blown out highlights. I call them blown out, because it doesn't strike me as a high key shot.

framing too tight, grainy.

I love the way you cropped this extra wide. The grain makes it more mysterious.

i really like the horizontal crop, but the skin on the face seems to be really blown out.

It makes me wonder why you crop the forehead and the chin? The cropping, if intentional, isn't effective for me. I'd rather see her whole face as she is very beautiful. 5.

Nice soft B/W. Good job. Some of these photos need some noise to them.

The cropping here really makes this shot work. It's a bit "noisy" or "grainy" for my taste, but the overall perfection of its execution leads me to give this a solid 7 (would have been an 8 with less noise).
