This is a very complex image. I very much like the colours esp.

A different crop to eliminate the right hand 3rd of the picture would remove some non-essential busy-ness.

Also, using a polarizing filter or some how diffusing the light would help not have the glare in the lower left hand corner.

I like this DOF, but would also love to see it shot with others, shallower and broader.

Unfortunately I can't see it as a still life, sorry.

As an artistic attempt very definitely!

I hope this helps.

I'm not sure what this is enought of, but it is very splashy and bubbly, nice. I wish the composition were a bit simpler - is that a glass? maybe we could see a bit more of it? The light is a bit glaring too.

Water isn't very still. Neat photo though

It's cool, but it needs work. Keep trying to capture this image using different techniques, perspectives, design elements. Aim the stream of water differently, maybe. Water splashes can be beautiful, or they can just get in the way. Yours gets in the way.

I'd have given this a 10 if the sharpest focus had been in the top left - the main area of the water running from the tap. The focus seems to be on the area where the running water hits the body of water - an area that is so turbulent that its hard to tell whether it actually is pin sharp. I think selective DOF would have shown pin sharp water running into a (blurrish) maelstrom of water. Then again, I'm hardly a professional - just my own opinion!!! I do like it though - 8

This is still motion, not still live!

Nice photo, but a little much movement for a good still life. I like it though.

I suppose this is an example of an 'anti-still life'.. good luck :)
