| (my first high key try-out) I hate explanations in titles. Let the photo speak for itself. This is a great capture and does not require footnotes. I am not sure that this is the best crop but overall really good. 9 |

| Once again - very strong work. An excellent image. Your high key attempt works great with ths strong contrast and detail in her eyes IMHO. Keep this up along with the work in your portfolio and you will be rewarded well here at DPC. |

| Actually a very good first attempt. Nothing looks burnt out, good catch light and just enough shadow under the eyebrows and lips for definition. A little loss of detail on the left (her right) ear and hair. Much better than most of the other shots of kids in this challenge |

| This just has to win the ribbon, Absolutely stunning!!!! I don't think any other picture that this little girl has taken of her will ever capture her the way you have. Just beautiful!!! Would love to be able to take a photo of my little girls like this someday. (tips welcome;) A much deserved 10!!!!!!! |

I was browsing your portfolio shortly before this challenge & this is one of many images that caught my attention. As good as this looks here, it's ironic that it looks even better in color.

| I'm not generally a big fan of High Key, but I think you've done a pretty nice job here. The eye's are the star of this shot of course. Great catchlight and clarity in those eyes. Nice job. |

Its pretty obvious who the photographer is, but let that be a testiment to the pure quality that i've seen from you.

| I might've pushed it a little further with the high key- ie, pushed the whites even a little more. Nice expression, the cropping is okay. The eyes are fabulous |

| Wow, you did very well on your first high key! High key is probably my favorite kind of portrait, and this one is beautiful! Nice soft skin tones (without being tooooo soft). Great clarity in the eyes. I bet it won't be your last high key, will it :) This is one of my highest rated photos so far! Good luck! 9 |

| I don't think the high key works so well here. Kids have great skin and usually high key will make adult skin look better. Not that you can't photo children in high key. Because your lighting down on her face the depth of light is dropping off a bit and her chin and lower lip has some tone coming in. This makes me feel like your light is just uneven and over exposed not high key. Even so I love the faming and the expression 7 |
