 This picture was clicked when a worker at Canberra aviary was trying save a baby bird born few hours ago and was bitten by the mother. I call it a portrait.

Wow. Fantastic light and treatment. Wasn't sure what I was looking until reading the title and inpsecting the image further. Not sure about how strongly this applies to a more literal definition of portraiture ... but a solid image nonetheless.

Oh gosh! How TINY!!! A great image overall - the main negative thing I see is that the dark spot near the middle right is very distracting - I like the composition a lot.

this is one of the most unique shots in the challenge. i'll admit that i gave you a 7. it would have been higher if you'd had a tighter crop on your hand and the bird. too much space for me, but a good subject.
