Nikon D100 with a 28-200mm f3.5-f5.6, handheld at a focal length of 155mm.

Shot during the Photo Plus Expo trade show and conference from the top floor of the food court area.

My title is a quote (Only I discern - Infinite passion, and the pain of finite hearts that yearn.) from Robert Browning and was borrowed for this purpose.

Even after the events of 9/11, New York still marches on and is infinitely strong and enduring.

The diagonal patterns are distracting. Also, the title is long-winded and distracts from the photo.

IMO - the point of all this is to create a photo that portrays the feeling of Seemingly Infinite to everyone else, not just to yourself. Its a nice abstract, but I guess I don't get the infinite part.

The picture is great, but it just doesn't speak infinite to me...

Poetic title. Great city, great people. I like this shot but it is busy. Light, reflection, grid and buildings. I do think you have captured the challenge.

Beautiful title, but I usually judge a photo on it's own terms... will it fit the challenge without the title? I'm not sure this one fits. I don't think that the picture fits the title well anyway (apart from the obvious 'New Yorker'). Where are you showing infinite passion, or the finite hearts that yearn?
It is an interesting study in geometric patterns though... maybe reflecting the orderly and rigid architecture of the city, and of the way people live in it.
