This is a good, sharp, generally well exposed image. It's well composed, offering the focal point (shoes) close enough to the upper left intersecting thirds gridlines. It offers a nice duotone-like image with the predominately blue and white theme.
I think the choice to slant the pillar is key here, and a good design. I think even a little more pitch on the slant might have been a little more interesting, giving you a bisecting diagonal composition.
Small relatively non-significant issues here: the center bottom of the column is slightly hot; the bottom of the right shoe could have more shadow detail.
I am not sure what the real message is here; if a product shot, I am not sure the placement of the shoes would sell; if an artsy shot, I am not totally convinced it would "sell"; if it's a shot for running or sports enthusiasts, I think it would work very well for those who like nikes.
Overall, I think its done very well. |

| Great lighting, the tilted angle keeps this from being static. Adds a nice flow for the eye to follow. |

| good idea to put the shoes on a classical pillar, linking to the product name. Love the simplicity with all the white tints and then the color of the shoe. |

| while there are things that are technically good/pleasing about this photo, i'm afraid i had to give it a 1 because of the subject. i am personally offended by nike sneakers and the nike corporation, and since i vote here with my heart as much as with my head i have to vote against something i personally find offensive. i'm sorry it has to be this way, but i had to be honest with you about it. nothing personal... and good luck. |

| the frame in this is too filled for my tastes....the composition would have been improved with more above the subjects....the lighting and shot are very good otherwise. |

I'm sorry but I hate Nike...Nice high key shot though. You need a little fill light under the right shoe.

| Good idea! I think it might have worked better with a touch more space around and a sharper feel. (I know it's hard when reducing to 640 by x.) Also, while I like the two color theme, I wonder how a slightly different tone light might have looked? |

| LOL I live in Beaverton, Oregon. Home of Nike .....They would love your shot for an add. It's very nice. And the crop is good too. Way to go ..you should send it to them. p.s. the lighting is very nice. |

I love this picture. The periwinkle against the white contrast to each other well. The roman colum makes me think of the first Roman olympics.
Very nice touch! |
