 The lighting on this is from a bright window. I hung the babies black blanket from my reflector stand for a make shift backdrop. I would really love a studio for shots like these because using natural lighting proves to be difficult at times. It's hard to show up to someone’s house and not know what to expect as far as available light. Luckily they had a room with two windows and it was a nice sunny day.

Like several other people have said, the comparison in size in incredible here. Her cute little toes all spread out are cute, nice composition

What I love about this is that it has one of the best perspectives of the teeny tiny size compared to the dad that I've ever seen. It's amazing. This photo will be treasured forever! One day, they'll look back and be truly amazed that this new family member was so absolutely little! It's truly mesmerizing!

Is that the edge of the blanket there in the bottom right hand corner? Anyway, I love this photograph! Babies are beautiful . (and dad's not bad either) :)

In this instance, I don't care for the negative space on the right side. Rather than working to focus attention on the subject, it just feels like it's "there". That one criticism aside, I think it's an awesome image. One I'm sure the family will cherish.
