It was really fun making this picture. In the beginning I wanted to make a photo for the Pattern challenge, but ended up with this.

Man this is a great idea, love the shot, it would have been sweet if you had like a duracell vs. energizer or something but still one of the best ideas of the challenge. Nice work.

How can you tell who's who? King, Queen, etc... :D The subject seems too distant. Did you try cropping this down (or capturing initially) where you zoomed in on the board more, even losing some of the board and maybe a piece or two? I don't know, just a thought. Something seems out of balance. JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge.
