Gotta resist temptation 24/7. So why not try this out.

Post processing : Levels, USM, minor burning on face, ear and hat.

POST CHALLENGE:

It's easy to figure out, I think most people around my area and most friends I grew up with were all sucked in by many things, lust, and envy, greed, and EGO. So why not show a photo that explains a natural duty. Instead of a task given out by companies, or corporations.

I had no idea what in the world this shot was trying to convey. Reading your description, I assume you are occupied with fighting off depression or something? Alright, a clever challenge entry in concept but damned hard to illustrate in a photo as I think your unfortunate placing confirms. Good to see you think outside of the box though, looking forward to your future entries to see what you come up with.

I think a lot of folks, me included, also have this occupation but many are too embarassed to admit it or even, in this case, understand it.

dnmc, as far as I can see. Maybe there's something in the gloom that I can't make out on this screen...

confusing...home? Mall escalator? repelling the holidays? Nice shadows and composition.

This is a really nice composition and a great contrast between the cheerful, bright Christmas decorations and the miserable man in the shadows. On my monitor it is very difficult to see the man. I would like to have him lightened ever so slightly. Perhaps he is on your monitor. This is one of the difficult things about displaying photography on the web. The other thing is I'm not sure what occupation or passtime this represents -- unemployment? 8

The subject is not lit well enough for me to make a lot of sense of what's going on in the photo.

Dark is right, really hard to see here. I love the lighting effect from the stairs down, but can't really see the figure on the stairs or nothing else.

This has a sadness. I like the light and shadow. Look toward the brighter side as much as you can. Hugs and Happy Holidays.
