I keep driving past these flocks of blackbirds, some flying in "rivers" that go farther than the eye can see, and haven't been able to time it to get a shot. Usually it's late (almost dusk) when they're out flying. I noticed this group sitting on a utility pole on my way into work. Did a u-turn and parked a little distance away. Put on the 70-300 so I wouldn't spook them. In my hurry to set up I wasn't quite level with the tripod so I had to rotate a little in PP. Lost some of the lower left corner in the process and didn't get the impact I wanted with the one bird in motion. Oh well...hope the simplicity of this shot goes over ok.

This is a lovely photograph! It should have done better. Good detail on the birds too! :D

They are just hanging out getting a buzz. I think this image could be one that you might see at a red robin resturaunt. It has that certian quality. It would have been a sweet black and white in color! Great Job.
