excellent shot ... and also great to go up to a complete stranger and ask to take their photo ...
i think one of the differences between an average/good photographer and an awesome photographer is that an awesome photographer will go anywhere, and possibly do anything to get that shot ... social embarrassment obviously has to take a walk out the door if you want to become awesome ..
i've been told not to take photos in shopping centres .. the first time sucked .. the second time i thought .. wotever ...
i think its also a process of desensitising yourself to other ppl's opinions ... for me that could take a bit of time!!!

nice one, feels good doesn't it. My only suggestion is that because its a candid/street shot try to get some of the environment in the image rather than just like a normal portrait to give the viewer a sense of the scene.
